Eildon celebrates club birthday and Legend's Day
Eildon Croquet Club marked its birthday alongside Legend's Day, honouring life member and association captain Paula Brown. A golf croquet tournament, cake and shared lunch rounded out the day.
esterday we celebrated our club's birthday along with our Legend's Day.
This year our Legend is life member and association captain Paula Brown.
A golf tournament was played with seven hoops, the last of which was a pegout, in a nod to Paula's love for Association Croquet.
Paula was joined by other life members Romajean Hines, Anne Austin, Colin Campbell, Pam Campbell and Gwyneth Petrie.
Roma spoke eloquently about how Paula is the ultimate example of a club devotee, quietly and positively making the club and everyone in it better.
A delightful croquet cake was made by Louise and a rousing happy birthday was sung for our club.
The bring a plate morning tea, lunch and dessert was delicious, with the perfect selection of treats.
The competition on the day was won by Robert Frederick James Roose and, aptly, our AC Qld representative, Keith Williamson.
It was a wonderful celebration of what makes Eildon Croquet Club such a warm and fantastic club.
