Across 4 days from 19-22 June, sixteen AC players lined up at Toombul in the AC Open Singles.

Eildon was represented by Les Watson and Wade Hart, and unfortunately they drew each other in the opening round, with Les prevailing and eventually winning two more matches to go through to the final on Tuesday, where Heather Knight (Stephens) won the Championship in two close games (26-22 & 26-19).

Well done to both players, and congratulations Heather.

Wade eventually came second in the Plate. Well done.

In the latest round of Pennants, Eildon hosted East Brisbane and Merthyr last Sunday.

In a great result, Eildon defeated Pennants front-runners Merthyr by 6 games to nil. Well done team!

But then the new front-runners in the Pennants table, East Brisbane, defeated Eildon 5-1.

I believe that is called character building.

But either way it was a good result all round.

Next up, Eildon hosts McIlwraith at 8.30 on Sunday 11th July.

Let's get some supporters there for the team's final game.
