Courts 3 and 4 were scarified on Friday. They will be out of action for 3 or 4 weeks.
Look how green Courts 1 and 2 are looking three weeks after scarification and the application of wetting agent and fertiliser. Play resumed on these courts at the weekend.
Thanks to Ernie for supervising this work.
The courts should be in very good condition for "Not the Eire Cup" on 20th March and the Easter Carnival (both Association Croquet and Golf Croquet) in April. These will be followed by the Div 3 and 4 Ernie Melville Trophy in May.
Why "NOT the Eire Cup"?
Due to Covid-19 considerations, this year's Australian Men's and Women's Championships and the interstate Eire Cup that were to be held next month in Sydney have been cancelled. Queensland Association Croquet players will be competing in a teams event with the same format as the Eire Cup.
