Commonwealth Games bowler practises on Graceville lawns
Troy Latimor, who will represent Malta in lawn bowls at the Commonwealth Games, has been practising on Graceville Croquet Club's lawns. His reason: the grass length is similar to the Games greens.
hat are these lawn bowls doing on Graceville Croquet Club lawns?
During the week, Michael (our President) was approached by Troy Latimor, who lives in Australia but will be representing Malta in Lawn Bowls at the Commonwealth Games later this year.
Troy asked Michael if he could practise on our lawns, as they are a similar grass length to what the Commonwealth Games Bowls lawns will be like in the UK at the time of the Games.
How great to be able to help someone in pursuing their dream.
