Chris Borlase and Mike Gidding win Association Doubles Cup

Last weekend Windsor Croquet Club hosted the CAQ Association Doubles Cup, a two-day event.

On Saturday, there were two blocks of players playing three games, with the two best performers from each block qualifying for the Championship round on Sunday. The remaining players then battled it out on the lawns for the Consolation prize.

Saturday was rather hot, but players gave it their best and backed up again on Sunday with smiles on their faces for another round of games. Fortunately, the weather was a tad cooler on Sunday.

Congratulations to the Championship winners, Chris Borlase and Mike Gidding.

Runners-up: Dave Luxmore and Troy McCallum.

Congratulations also to the Consolation winners, Lindsay David and Ralph Allan.

Runners-up: Heather Knight and Willy Silk.

Thanks to the Windsor Club members who assisted to make this a great weekend: the hoop setter, lawns keepers, caterers and tournament managers.
