Among them were nine determined players with their sights set on QLD state team selection later this year.

The CAQ Women's Open Singles tournament, played at Wynnum Croquet Club, was won by Chelsea Williams (Queenscliffe, Vic.). The runner-up was Kathis Grant (Southport).

Jannene Wall (Ipswich) won the plate, with Francesca deWytt as runner-up.
