Cecelia Haines wins Wynnum Ladies Singles

Ten players in two blocks entered the Wynnum Ladies Singles competition held on Saturday, 9th November. Three courts were used for the handicap event.

It was a very interesting day, with free turns being used at crucial points. It was a great experience for those new competitors who had to decide when to use them.

The winners of each block played in the final. Lorraine Beattie won Block A and Cecelia Haines won Block B. After some tough competition from Lorraine, it was Cecelia who won the most hoops, 7-5. Congratulations to you both. Well played.

A beautiful arrangement of flowers, donated by Heidi, was presented to the winner, Cecelia.
