Burleigh Heads Palm Beach celebrates Australia Day with BBQ and games

Fabulous day of fun and games in the Aussie sun. Our club celebrated the day with an Aussie BBQ – thanks Ted for being our BBQ-master!

We were joined by visitors from Harvey Bay, Graham and Lee, who were part of the winning trivia team with our very own Chris and Julie.

The day was not complete without a thong-throwing competition! Graham showed his skills, winning the men's thong throwing contest. But Joy bested everyone – not only winning the women's competition, but throwing further than Graham's winning toss!

Chris proved he has an eye for detail, winning the "who is that?" competition by being able to identify more members' legs from a photo than anyone else. An observant man? Future detective? Inspector Poirot?

A big shoutout to Ross and Lorelle for organising the activities and creating the iconic obstacle course on the lawns. Watch out for that surfboard!!

Also a shoutout to Col, who organised the food and drinks for the day.

Join us for more fun and games at BHPB Croquet Club!
