Broadbeach welcomes cooler play and the start of pennants
Broadbeach reports stronger court conditions, steady Association and Golf Croquet play, and the start of Gold Coast pennants.
Broadbeach players and friends are welcoming the cooler months after summer. Association Croquet continues on Tuesday and Saturday mornings, with players enjoying the challenge of outwitting their opponents.
The pennant season has begun and Golf Croquet players are enjoying competition against Gold Coast Regional clubs. Teams are celebrating their wins and working hard to find good runs to the hoop.
The lawn is playing well, a pleasing improvement after the concerns of recent years. Wednesday afternoon Golf Croquet remains popular, followed by a social gathering and usually takeaway dinner. Tuesday and Saturday Association play starts around 8.30 am, and players from other clubs are welcome to visit for a game and a morning cuppa.
Broadbeach thanked Margaret and Barbara for producing the newsletter and wished readers a safe Easter season.
