Beatties win Shawn & Kym GC Mixed Doubles
Barry and Lorraine Beattie won the Shawn & Kym GC Mixed Doubles 5-4 over Peter and Judy De Vene in a close final at Wynnum. It was the seventh consecutive year of the competition.

It was an early 7:30am start for our Shawn & Kym mixed GC handicap doubles competition on Sunday 14th July.
28 players entered into what was a fabulous day with some long roquets, great hoop running and impressive stop shots, held in 50-minute games.
The final was between relatively new Wynnum club members Barry & Lorraine Beattie, who won 5-4 against Peter & Judy De Vene (Eildon). The score indicates that it was a great final, with interesting tactical play from both teams.
The presentation was done by sponsors Shawn & Kym Kristofer, handing the magnificent trophy to the winners, plus medals to both winners and runners up.
We must thank the tournament organisers and referees for their great work throughout the day and the people behind the scenes who supplied catering.
We all certainly look forward to this annual competition, which has been held for the 7th consecutive year thanks to Shawn & Kym Real Estate.
