he annual Eildon Croquet Club Belvedere Plaque tournament was held on the weekend. Sixteen players from Bribie Island, Eildon, Laurel Bank, Merthyr, Windsor and Wynnum nominated to play in two double round robin blocks. The winners of each block have their names engraved on the trophy.

In a tight tussle over 14 games, Addison was the winner of Block A, winning 11 games ahead of Bob, who won 10 games.

Dennis won Block B again with 11 games, ahead of John and Robert, who both won 8 games each. John was the runner-up with a 6 net hoop advantage.

Congratulations to Addison and Dennis on their success.

President Jill presented Addison with his award and Vice President, Mike, presented Dennis with his medal.

Thank you once again to the volunteers: Lorraine and Desley as Tournament Managers, Megan and Sure for refereeing, and Paula, our wonderful catering co-ordinator, who gave up their time to ensure that this event was a great success.

Apologies for the shadow on the faces of our players, but it was sunny and we do appreciate the beautiful weather.
